Really great read! While I'm not interested in writing a book (at the moment), I've been able to make my first $1 online through offering writing services. I think this is a faster alternative to a book, but everyone's got to do what's best for them. Your framework for organizing your thoughts into a book are fantastic and I know others will get a lot of value from it!
Yeah, that's great. I don't want to do effort. The thing with offering services is you then have to do the service, and I don't have time for that. I'd rather take stuff I already wrote and make money on it again without having to give much extra effort.
Russell, I love this — I always get something from each essay I read from you. I’d actually thought about making my best essays into a book and have even gone so far as to write out chapters and a table of contents. Now that I’ve read this, I’m going to give it more thought and plan my posts more strategically! Thanks!
Actually helpful and practical, and by that I mean most of the writing on Substack (about writing) is ME not YOU focused, meaning “look how I got 1,000 subscribers in 30 days” ect. It’s exhausting because there’s no practical information to follow, except for “change your money mindset” nonsense. This is relate to. 👍🏻 Working on an e-book currently that complies several of my detailed posts to help people do their first half-Ironman triathlon. Then, full of course.
This is super helpful because I'm in the midst of trying to do something along these lines. I keep getting caught up in the where to find a good editor/proofreader step, but I'm realizing I just need to get through the get it compiled step first.
I was thinking about how everyone is a big kid, like take anyone rich or poor, they are still that kid, but think about someone who has no money, no one to take of them, they are not a kid minded anymore, true life is harsh. Animals kill each other’s for survival of the fittest.

I’m writing just for fun or nothing really seems, but my writing has teachings to make more that writing books, and that’s investing and trading in equity markets. Where you could trade corn futures, I called a move in platinum futures. $NFLX just reported earnings and were good. I said if they have lots of new content the stock usually pops on earnings. I see the got new season of Outer Banks. I am intrigued to see if I could build a stream of earnings by simply writing about what I know so good and continue to learn.
I’m like a kid that didn’t have a chance to grow up like most do through growing up.

Yaaas! There's also a chapter about it in the Substack book and in the paid membership since I know you're a paid member.
