It’s interesting. I’ve heard the polar opposite advice too. People say you shouldn’t tell anyone what your goals are because your brain feels satisfaction by telling people what you’ll be doing to the point where you won’t feel like actually working.

This is very true. I started letting everyone know I was writing a book a year ago. I stuck with it and released it a week ago. Knowing that other people knew I had this goal was a great motivator in seeing it through.

If I had a superpower, I would choose the ability to pursue any goal for a long time without experiencing demotivation

Never giving up along the way. Very clear message. I appreciate it so much, David.

Great advice, David! Thank you. I’ve read once that achieving a goal is often like an arm wrestling with the Universe. You keep on doing it until the Universe gives up and say: Ok, if you want it so badly, then you can have it! On my part, I can be some stubborn tenacious girl... Lots of love.

I’m going to give it a try!! The power of positive manifestation too, am I right? If I keep believing I can and will do it, maybe i actually will…

Having an accountability partner truly works. I led Get Shit Done online groups for creatives for a year. The group members said out loud what they want to accomplish during the week and in 7 days we’d come together and see how it went. The results were freaking amazing. 🤩

Aw I love this so much. I sort of put my own stake in the ground when I announced I was going to do a 24-essay series on archetypes. It absolutely works! My follow-through is so much higher!😊

"Put a stake in the ground you have to live up to — the harder you make it for yourself to quit, the less likely you’ll be to do so."

.....I *love* this and SO needed to hear it today. Finances on the farm have been tight (farming is a labor of love, not money) and I woke up to discover I'm out of heating fuel again, which naturally leads to doubts and wondering if I'm doing the right thing...

Yet, above all else, I believe in my mission here at Runamuk Acres and I believe in myself. Plus, I've planted my flag in the ground so many times, for so long now that it would be incredibly difficult to walk away.

So today I'mma gonna re-plant my stake in this farm and see what I can drum up! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring!!!🙏
