My biggest struggle writing has to be finding the time to write. My day job takes up 12 hours of my day M-F, and my evenings and weekends have been hectic lately. Hoping things settle down after the holidays so I can get back in a consistent writing routine.
What are you struggling with right now as a writer?
I have a plethora of knowledge, skills, experience, and information to share, but I need to build a community of loyal subscribers. I haven't yet started to post full steam. I need to start with all three my publications.
What I have been struggling with most is the desire to write. There’s so much to answer with that it will probably be a post. But to put it succinctly: part job/finance stress, part identity crisis, part cluttered environment, part video game and social media addiction. But despite not wanting to write and finish things, I knew I *wanted* to want to. I managed to get a job that seems to have stabilized that aspect, and then I had to realize that hours of gaming and constant antisocial scrolling wasn’t fulfilling anything. It doesn’t make anything better. I’m not changing hearts and minds nor am I solving any of the world’s issues by getting 3 likes and a repost on X.
I’ve taken some time to clear my mind, to put quality content in my ears (my new job allows that), and to focus my time thinking about the things that bring me joy and work according to my strengths rather than my compulsions.
