I do really like this platform. It's the closest we've got to old Twitter. Though I worry it's losing focus with all the new features coming out (Notes, Chats, Video, etc.)

A great article and after a year on Substack I am reworking my contributions, I have not found success here - yet! And my Notes were so deeply uninspired no one saw them at all! Happy to read of your research and success in my journey to build a community here! Take care! C
Yes! The Sustainable Sunday newsletter does quite well. So I am focussed there for the meantime - (only once a week now) - the newsletter is fun and easy to write - and I am relooking at Notes. Thank you so much for the nudge.
So helpful, thank you! I’ve been looking for insights about repurposing content in a way that is efficient but also adds value for readers - this is it ☺️
Hi! Great article - am going to give you a cheeky subscribe. I'm new-ish here too and need all the help I can get! So I'll be checking out your advice.
What an amazing read - love to hear real stories about success on the platform. I have to say, notes has been a lot of fun to read, reply, write - and is where I have found the most growth.
So much helpful advice here. Thank you!!
Thank you!
I got more than 222 subscribers in less than 60 days, will this still help?

Yes, they have to be very careful if they want to keep the platform "culture" as it is now.

I'm sorry you haven't found success yet.
Did anything perform better than your average?
You can start building on that.

What worked on Notes for me:
- spending 15-30 minutes every day replying to creators with compatible audiences
- posting a helpful notes targeting my audience needs every day
Thank you! Excellent.
Excellent example of how to stimulate Substack growth.
Thanks!
Helpful stuff
I wasn't engaging on substack for 2days straight after i published my article this week.
So this morning when I opened the app, I came across this post which is really good in terms of guiding new substackers like me
But idk, I'm getting FOMO feeling after reading the the line "the competition here is low" well the author's not responsible for that
But I think I need to reconsider my efforts for my writing strategy by spending more time here
I always tried to not chase trends. But after testing it, Substack seems just too good to miss.
By the way, I wrote this article a few weeks back. Meanwhile, I already broke 300 subscribers, 3 of them paid.
This is a very valuable post with so much applicable wisdom to growing on Substack.
Thank you Alberto and David!
Thank you!
This was encouraging and helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
This is a good piece. Very helpful.

Thank you! I’m new to the platform and your article is so insightful!
Thanks.
It is a great platform to start from scratch.

Thanks!
I just sent a draft to Kristina God that goes more in detail about repurposing.

You're awesome, thanks!
Thanks for this!
Incredible advice, thank you for sharing!
I was getting signals that Notes is the place to be, this is the confirmation I needed! 🙌
That's what I call a useful guide, not the wishy washy stuff you might see somewhere else (on Medium).
Just started my tipping my toe in the options here on Substack but now I feel better prepared. Thanks for that!
