I have to remember #8 all the time. I need constant reminders before I do something, even when I REALLY want to do it. I have to remember that the same is true for my readers.

I appreciate the honesty and real-life view of this article. Most of what you're saying resonates with my attempts at self promotion. Sometimes it feels successful... most of the time it feels like a waste of time... but in the long run it always pays off.
