I actually did it today! My artist notes to self have been popular! I put them all in one post now and will add it to the post every time I share one of the artist's notes so people can go back and read. I pinned it on my substack
Now, I just need to figure out what to photograph or take videos of if don't
have a cute pet
live near great natural scenery and/or interesting ruins and/or historical landmarks
Well, at least I can do bullet points, though apparently not in the comments.
I will say this--I've never done much photography before. But I have done quite a bit since I joined Substack. Up to this point, my shots have worked better as illustrations in a post than in Notes.
Thank you for this. My publication is still small, but I've already gained some subscribers since starting to use notes, so these tips seem very useful.
I've never thought of embedding my notes into the posts, that's a great idea

That was a good one, I had never thought of that either :)
As always, good advice!

Take a picture of anything, over time you figure what is good that you can add to your posts
Great advice!
Thanks so much for the tip about embedding Notes in our newsletter, I had no idea. I thought it was just a copy and paste thing.
Great post! Notes has been so helpful in many ways. I like the idea of embedding them into our posts.
A really helpful piece - thank you!
Thanks Lizzie!

Loved this article! I’ve been really enjoying notes recently and this gave me so many more ideas to experiment with!

How exactly does one preview a future post? Don’t think I’ve seen a link or option on my Substack for that
When you’re scheduling your post, Substack gives you a selection of preview images to use.
Oh got it! I had never scheduled posts but will from now on, thx David.
I schedule all my posts. It gives me a deadline to work towards - 1pm every Wednesday!
So many great ideas— thanks for sharing! 😊
Thanks for those tips.
Thanks for sharing these tips, David. Just realizing how much you can do with Notes to becoame and stay notable.
Thanks for this David. Some great tips for me to try out.
Thank you
