Did you know you’re currently perched atop a veritable mountain of knowledge?

And did you also know that plenty of readers in your sphere of influence would happily pay good money to sit alongside you on that summit?

(I can feel you brushing that suggestion off already, but hear me out)

You know things that other people don’t know. You know how to do things that other people don’t know how to do. These are things you take for granted because you’ve done them over and over again, possibly for years on end, and they’ve become second nature to you.

But that’s not the case for the person who’s standing a few miles further back along the same path you’ve already traversed, the path that leads to the summit of the mountain.

That person wants to know what you know.

And the best way to unlock that knowledge is through direct access to you and your big, beautiful brain.

A well-structured proximity offer is key here.

The problem: readers want more from you, but there’s no clear next step

Substack’s great for sharing ideas, building trust, and growing an audience. But if you offer a service (coaching, strategy calls, consulting, editing, design) your subscribers might not know that’s even an option.

There’s no services tab. No booking calendar baked in. No native sales funnel.

Maybe Substack will incorporate these features in future, but for now, the onus is on us to create those opportunities for ourselves.

Otherwise, generating sustainable income on the platform can be difficult.

The solution: create a clear path from reader to client using tools you already have

You don’t need to build a new platform, or launch a complicated funnel.

You just need to do three things:

  • Tell people what you offer

  • Make it easy to book

  • Use your posts to lead naturally into your service

This isn’t about marketing - it’s about visibility.

Once readers know they can work with you (and how they can work with you) the right ones will step forward.

Let’s walk through that process.
