Going Live on Substack’s all the rage right now.

We’ve all seen those clipped videos at the top of our home screens: smiling faces beaming from bedrooms and offices around the world while the little red buttons flash in the corner.

People are going live every day. And it’s great!

I did my first live video last month, and honestly, it’s a lot of fun. And not as scary as you might think, either.

But if you’ve never done one before, it can be hard to know exactly where to begin. You won’t know what to expect until the camera’s rolling and subscribers are tuning in.

And there’s no shying away once you’ve started, because it’s live. No pauses. No retakes.

Just you, your phone, and your captive audience.

So this Thursday (13th February), I’m hosting another free webinar, just for you.

I’ll be joined by

Philip Hofmacher

and

Claudia Faith

, who I’m sure you’ve seen popping up in live videos over the last few weeks. They’ve already got a solid handle on how it works and the benefits it provides, and they’ve kindly agreed to share their expertise with us.

The session will last max 40 minutes and will include a brief Q&A portion at the end for attendees. You don’t have to actively participate at any point, unless you want to ask a question.

This’ll be a really straightforward live conversation over Zoom where we’ll tackle the following questions:

1. How do you actually “Go Live” on Substack?

2. What are the benefits of going Live?

3. What should you do to prepare for a Live?

4. What’s a solo Live like? What should you bear in mind when doing one?

5. How do you identify guests? What will make the experience great for everyone?

6. What happens after you go live?

Philip, Claudia and I will share our thoughts on each question. We’ll offer our best tips and advice, and we’ll take some questions from attendees at the end (note them down in advance).
